Young Belgian forward Kazeem Olaigbe has been nominated for Premier League 2's Player of the Season

Olaigbe made 23 appearances in the competition, scoring 12 goals as Saints finished the season strongly, ultimately just missing out on the play-off positions.

His contributions to Dave Horseman's B team side weren't to exclusive to the league, scoring a further three, two and four goals in Premier League Cup, Papa John's Trophy and friendlies respectively.

The 19-year-old committed his future to the club in mid-February, signing a contract extension until June 2024.

Olaigbe has been nominated alongside Connor Bradley (Liverpool), Tom Dickson-Peters (Norwich City), Sonny Hilton (Fulham), Abu Kamara (Norwich City), Dilan Markanday (Tottenham), James McAtee (Manchester City) and Jesurun Rak-Sakyi (Crystal Palace).

The winner will be announced on Monday 23rd May 2022.
