A place in the quarter-finals of the Emirates FA Cup is up for grabs as David Moyes' West Ham travel to Southampton.

Hasenhüttl's men reached the semi-final stage of the competition in the 2020-21 season, ultimately losing out to eventual winners Leicester City.

West Ham reached the fifth round of the competition last season, falling to a 1-0 defeat at Old Trafford to deny them a quarter-final place.

Saints have been forced into extra time in both their third and fourth round ties with Swansea and Coventry, finding the net in extra time to prevent penalties.

While the visitors third round tie against Leeds was a more straight forward affair, Kidderminster Harriers nearly pulled off the ultimate shock in the fourth round.

The National League North outfit took the lead after just 19 minutes of play, forcing a last gasp equaliser from Declan Rice to force the game into extra time. With the game certain to head to penalties, Jarrod Bowen netted a 121st minute goal to secure West Ham’s place in the fifth round.

TEAM NEWS

There are no fresh injury concerns for Saints, who remain without Alex McCarthy, Nathan Tella and Lyanco.

Vladimir Coufal, Ryan Fredericks, Angelo Ogbonna and Arthur Masuaku are all unavailable for selection.

THE MANAGERS

Ralph Hasenhüttl: “We have twice done a good job against West Ham and this is what we will concentrate on to do so again."

David Moyes: “I think Southampton's recent form has been very good, they were excellent against Tottenham the other week. I think they are in a good vein of form.”

ONES TO WATCH

James Ward-Prowse: While Hasenhüttl may look to rotate his squad for the cup contest, Captain James Ward-Prowse could play a pivotal role in the tie. Controlling the ball from midfield while dangerous behind a set-piece, he'll be looking to add to his goal scoring tally.

Jarrod Bowen: The 25-year-old continues to shine for David Moyes’ side, scoring eight times and contributed eight assists already in the league this season, Bowen’s form has transferred to the FA Cup and he’ll be looking to make it three out of three in the cup, having already scored in the third and fourth round of the competition.
