Check out our latest weekly round-up as we offer you a comprehensive guide of everything that's going on inside Southampton Football Club...

Transfer deadline day round-up

The transfer window closed on Monday evening, as Saints completed the signing of striker Cyle Larin on loan from RCD Mallorca.

Larin’s arrival followed the departure of Adam Armstrong on a permanent transfer to Wolves, one of four senior players to leave the club on deadline day.

Joe Aribo and Juan Larios joined Leicester and Real Zaragoza on loan respectively, while Armel Bella-Kotchap completed a permanent move to Hellas Verona.

Saints set for St Mary’s return

This weekend sees Saints return to home soil to host Watford in the Sky Bet Championship, looking to build on a recent upturn in form.

A 2-0 victory at Stoke last weekend made it seven points from the last three games, leaving Saints seven points from the play-off places with 16 games to play.

Tickets are on general sale for Saturday’s clash with the Hornets (12.31pm GMT), whose head coach Javi Gracia resigned following their 2-0 defeat to Swansea on Saturday.

Women to host Newcastle

Southampton FC Women returned to winning ways with a 3-1 home win over Crystal Palace on Sunday, as Ellie Brazil bagged her first career hat-trick.

It sets the team up nicely for a second successive home outing this weekend, as Newcastle visit St Mary’s on Sunday (2pm GMT).

Tickets remain on general sale, as fifth-placed Saints look to continue closing the gap on the promotion spots above them in the WSL2 table.

It’s a busy week for Adam Lallana’s side, who then face Liverpool on Sunday (1pm GMT) in Premier League 2 in another game to be played at Eastleigh’s home ground.

The Under-18s are also at home this weekend, hosting Norwich at Staplewood on Saturday (11am GMT).

Both teams will hope to bounce back after defeats in the capital, as the Under-21s went down 4-2 at Chelsea and the Under-18s lost 5-2 at West Ham.

Lallana named permanent Under-21s boss

The club was pleased to confirm last week that Adam Lallana has signed a new contract to become permanent manager of our Under-21s.

Lallana initially began covering the Under-21s on an interim basis, following Tonda Eckert’s move to First Team Head Coach in November.

He will be joined by Dean Wilkins as Player Transition Coach, who returns to the club for a second spell, while completing Lallana’s setup is Matty Etherington, who will remain as Assistant Head Coach, and James Granger as Goalkeeper Coach.

Elsewhere in the Academy, Nick Davies will join the club from Crystal Palace as Head of Group Talent Development to oversee the progress of the best talent alongside the Academy Managers at Southampton, Göztepe and Valenciennes.
