Southampton FC Women will look to wrap up their hat-trick of home games with a positive result as they welcome league leaders Bristol City to St Mary’s Stadium.

Coming off the back of a bout of imperfect league form, Saints dropped from third to fifth after the latest match weekend, but a win would keep them within touching distance of the top spots.

Despite a 2-0 defeat to second-placed London City Lionesses, Bristol City still sit atop the Barclays Women’s Championship table, and will be eager to put space between themselves and the London side.

With one of the biggest games of the season taking place on Women’s Football Weekend, St Mary’s will be the venue for an exciting clash.

Saints will be in their classic red and white on Sunday as they take on the Robins at St Mary’s.

Marieanne Spacey-Cale’s side have already met Bristol City twice this season, in the league and Vitality Women’s FA Cup. The most recent meeting in the latter competition saw a depleted Saints side fall to a 2-0 defeat at the Robins High Performance Centre.

Scottish international Abi Harrison is a key player in attack, having been involved in a high proportion of the Robins’ goals this campaign.

Tickets are still available to purchase for Sunday’s clash, with Adults priced at £8 and U18s at £2.

“Bristol City have been at the top end of the table all season, and they have proven time and time again why they belong there.

“Our performance against Durham saw us punished for mistakes, and we need to be organised and clinical to prevent that from happening on Sunday.

“We know there’ll be fantastic support at St Mary’s as always, and we want to put on a show for Women’s Football Weekend.”
