Saints will be looking to pick up steam after a few lacklustre performances have seen them collect just one point so far in March.

Durham had a roaring start to the month with a 5-1 hammering of Coventry United at Maiden Castle, before they were brought crashing down by leaders Bristol City, conceding three goals with no reply away from home.

With neither side able to break the deadlock in the last meeting, and Marieanne Spacey-Cale asking for her side to be more clinical following the 0-0 stalemate with Blackburn Rovers last time out, it’s set to be an open affair.

With Bristol City up next, three points on Sunday could be important in keeping the gap between the Saints and the Robins at a manageable distance.

Marieanne Spacey-Cale’s side will be donning the red and white home strip against Durham.

A cold and icy Maiden Castle was the venue for these two sides’ last meeting in which neither managed to break the deadlock, resulting in the first 0-0 draw of the season for Saints.

Tickets are still available to purchase online ahead of Sunday’s fixture, with adults just £8 and U18s £2.

You can also purchase tickets on the day at St Mary’s Stadium.

“There are no easy games in this league, and Durham are certainly no exception to that, as we saw in our last meeting.

“We’ve not been at our best the last few games and we’ll need to improve on those performances in order to compete against another strong, physical side.

“We’ve got to make the most of the fantastic support at St Mary’s in March before a couple of away fixtures, and we want to make sure that we’re playing entertaining, high-quality football for those fans, and for ourselves.
