It’s a return to Bristol as Saints take on the Robins for the second time this season, with a place in the next round of the Vitality Women’s FA Cup at stake.

Both Bristol City and Saints go into the fixture at the higher end of the Barclays Women’s Championship table, second and fourth respectively, and having drawn 1-1 in their previous league encounter, it’s set to be a close game.

Bristol City’s last game was a 1-1 draw with tenth placed Durham, with the Robins’ Fran Bentley having to pull off a penalty save in the closing ten minutes to secure that point.

By contrast, Saints secured their most recent point against league leaders London City Lionesses, as Paige Peake hit the back of the net from the penalty spot in the 90th minute, to draw 1-1 at Princes Park.

Saints will be back in the teal away kit as they step out at the Robins High Performance Centre.

Saints and Bristol City last met when the latter sat at the top of the Barclays Women’s Championship in September, as Marieanne Spacey-Cale’s side became the first team to take points off the Robins in front of a buzzing Ashton Gate.

PLAYER TO WATCH
A proven goalscorer at this level, Hayles has been at the forefront of much of City’s success so far this season.

“We’re no strangers to Bristol City and we know that they’re a strong side, who’ve historically had success in this competition.

“Despite enjoying plenty of possession in our league meeting at Ashton Gate, we still came away with a point.

“We’ll need to continue to be hard to beat, and I know that Lauren and Will will remind the girls of that on Sunday.

There are still tickets available to purchase from Bristol City’s website, with tickets priced between £1 and £8.
