Southampton FC Women’s Lucia Kendall’s brace secured a win over Norway for England Women’s U19s in the Algarve Cup on Wednesday.

Having beaten Norway in their most recent meeting 4-1, the Young Lionesses were likely disappointed to be all square at 0-0 when the match reached half-time.

Emma Coates’ side grabbed the lead through Kendall at the hour mark, but were faced with an almost instant response from Norway’s captain Signe Gaupset.

However, the stalemate didn’t last long, and Kendall completed her brace in the 87th minute to secure an England victory.

Megan Collett started for the England Women’s U18s on Wednesday, as they fell to a 5-1 loss to hosts Portugal.

England Women’s U19s will be back in action on Monday against the Netherlands.
