Manager Ralph Hasenhüttl delivered a mixed team news update ahead of Southampton's clash with Arsenal in the Premier League at St Mary's on Sunday.

Wednesday night saw Saints pick up a valuable three points at an in-form Bournemouth, thanks to Ché Adams's early header during the first-half.

But despite the win and clean sheet it was not all good news for Saints, who will now be without Kyle Walker-Peters for the foreseeable future.

"We have another big injury," said Hasenhüttl during his press conference. "Kyle will be out for the long term. It's a hamstring injury. We will see how long.

"Armel [Bella-Kotchap] is still out also and will take a bit of time. Not sure how long. This injury can always happen again if you don't have surgery but he's a strong guy."

But there is some positive news when it comes to the squad, as long-term absentee Roméo Lavia returns to team training.

Lavia has been out of action since picking up an injury against Chelsea at St Mary's at the end of August.

"Roméo [Lavia] is back in training but after a long time out it will take time. It's good to see him back training with the team."
