Marieanne Spacey-Cale’s side come into the fixture off the back of a strong few results in the league, beating high-flyers Crystal Palace before drawing with Bristol City in front of crowds at Selhurst Park and Ashton Gate respectively.

Coventry United are yet to pick up their first point in the league, but came close against Birmingham City, coming back from 3-0 down to 3-2 in the 89th minute.

WHAT KIT WILL SAINTS BE WEARING?
Saints will once again be wearing their turquoise away kit as they take on Coventry United.

PREVIOUS ENCOUNTER
Marieanne Spacey-Cale’s side took on Coventry United in the FA Cup in January 2020, when Saints were playing in tier four of Women’s football.

The young side stepped out at St Mary’s in front of a bumper crowd of 4,510, and despite creating chances, a second half opener from Shannon O’Brien and then a hattrick from Fiona Worts for the away team told a different story as Saints bowed out of the competition.

MANAGER’S NOTES
“To be making a debut in a new Cup competition is exciting, but the preparation on the training pitch doesn’t change.

“Coming off the back of Sunday’s result will give us confidence, but every team at this level provides a different challenge and we need to be ready for that.

“The last time we played them, we were competing in Tier Four, so this is a great opportunity to see how far we’ve come.”

TICKET DETAILS
Tickets can be purchased through Coventry United with tickets priced at £7 for an Adult, £5 for an Adult Concession and £3 for a Child, with bundle prices also available.
