BLACK HISTORY MONTH
This fixture marks the start of Black History Month, which runs until the 31st October. To celebrate this important month, Southampton Football Club spoke to some of its staff as well as Saints Men’s First Team player Ibrahima Diallo and Women’s First Team player Lexi Lloyd-Smith to find out what black history month means to them, why it’s important, and what successes and challenges they have faced getting to where they are today.

This year’s theme for Black History Month is Time for Change: Action Not Words, so we also asked staff and players what they would want the future to look like for the black community. A video containing these interviews will be played in the stadium pre-match.

In Saturday’s programme, you’ll also find some information with tips on how to be an ally to the black community.
