Saints to host Sheffield Wednesday in Carabao Cup
Southampton will host League One outfit Sheffield Wednesday in the third round of the Carabao Cup in November.
Ralph Hasenhüttl’s side claimed a confident victory over Cambridge United in the second round, with a brace from Ché Adams and a debut goal from Dom Ballard the difference at Abbey Stadium.
Meanwhile, Darren Moore’s side also secured their place in the next phase of the competition, putting three goals past League Two opposition Rochdale.
The tie will take place the week commencing November 7, with a confirmed date and kick-off time to be announced in due course.
