Bycroft joins Taunton on loan
Young Southampton goalkeeper Jack Bycroft has joined National League South outfit Taunton Town on loan for the 2022/23 season.
The 20-year-old, who signed a new three-year deal with Saints last summer, spent time out on loan at Weymouth and Dorchester last season, racking up senior experience at both National League and Southern League Premier Division South level respectively.
Also named in Ralph Hasenhüttl’s Premier League matchday squads for games against Arsenal and Crystal Palace, the keeper made 15 appearances for the club’s B team in 2021/22, keeping five successive clean sheet during the months of October and November.
The club wishes Jack well for the remainder of the season and looks forward to monitoring his progress during the upcoming months.
