Women's RTC Academy set for Hampshire Cup quarters entrance
The club can confirm that Southampton FC Women’s RTC Academy will play in the Hampshire FA Women’s Senior Cup this season.
Saints will receive a BYE for the first two rounds and enter at the Quarter-Final stage, setting up an encounter with Eastleigh in the Community or one of New Milton Town or Bournemouth Sports.
With players such as Megan Collett and Lucia Kendall coming through the ranks of the RTC Academy to star for Marieanne Spacey-Cale’s side, the Hampshire Cup provides a great test for players looking to break into the first team.
A successful run in the competition last season saw Saints reach the final. However, due to fixture congestion, they were unable to fulfill the fixture, handing defeated AFC Bournemouth their place instead.
The Quarter-Finals will take place during the week commencing Monday 20th November 2022.
