Southampton FC Women's clash with Wolves is set to be broadcast by the BBC live for the first time in FA Women's National League Championship Play-Off history.

Ahead of Saturday’s huge clash with Wolves at Stockport County, the FA Women’s National League have announced that the BBC will broadcast the game live on the BBC Sport website and iPlayer.

Fans will be able to watch full coverage of the game, which will be decided using extra time and penalties if the sides can’t be separated within the 90.

With both Saints and Wolves having won their respective divisions convincingly, losing just one league game apiece, the fixture is set to be an exciting one with the BBC coverage providing well-deserved exposure and allowing more fans to enjoy the occasion from afar.

Speaking to the FA Women’s National League, Manager Marieanne Spacey-Cale said: “I’m hugely proud of what we’ve achieved this season, having only been promoted in 2021. The fact we go into the play-off final as Southern Division champions and National League Cup winners is a testament to the unreserved commitment, mentality and work ethic of our exceptional players and staff.

"But the season is not finished yet. At the start of the campaign, I set out some lofty ambitions to my squad, one of which was to gain promotion to the Championship. After months of commitment to the cause, one solitary hurdle remains in achieving that goal.”

Tickets are still available to purchase via Stockport County FC’s official website for those wanting to cheer on the Saints in person, with subsidised coach travel also on offer from Southampton FC.

Live commentary of the match will also be available on southamptonfc.com and via the mobile app.
