WHAT’S AT STAKE?

A semi-final date at Wembley awaits the winner, with Saints looking to return to the national stadium for a second successive season.

Ralph Hasenhüttl’s side have enjoyed a dramatic cup run to date, cursing past Swansea in round three before extra-time victories over Coventry City and West Ham.

For City, Pep Guardiola’s side will welcome the distraction of the cup after surrendering ground to Liverpool in the Premier League title race with a goalless draw at Crystal Palace on Monday.

Now only a point ahead of the Reds, City will look to keep their treble hopes intact with cup success on the south coast.

TEAM NEWS

Long-term absentees Alex McCarthy and Lyanco are the only players unavailable to Ralph Hasenhüttl this weekend.

For the visitors, Rùben Dias is likely to remain out with a hamstring problem, although young attacker Cole Palmer could play a part on the south coast.

"Last season we have been in the semi-final and we have seen how fantastic this was for the club.

“For the fans it will be a massive thing to go to the semi-final at Wembley and this is definitely important for us.”

"I know how difficult it will be away at Southampton. I'm sorry, I trust a lot my team, my players. I know it looks like everything is gone but I trust a lot my players to arrive in every competition who we are."

Claiming the Goal of the Fifth Round accolade for his solo strike against West Ham, the 20-year-old will be looking to secure progression for Saints once again.

Involved in four goals from his five cup appearances, Saints will need Broja to be at his blistering best on Sunday.

The Algerian is way out in front as City’s top scorer this season, already surpassing the 20-goal mark.

With three goals in his last two FA Cup appearances, Mahrez will be one of many threats posed by the visitors.
