Whilst accepting that there are still a few tired legs in camp after Wednesday's heroics at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Ralph Hasenhüttl was pleased to confirm that his side were able to make it through that game relatively unscathed, ahead of a trip to Old Trafford on Saturday.

Saints staged a memorable comeback victory against Spurs midweek, exerting a lot of energy in doing so, but that won't serve to dampen the performance against Manchester United, the manager reassured.

He spoke of the confidence gleaned from positive results against both Spurs and Man City recently, with Saints boasting four wins from their previous six (in all comps). As a consequence, Hasenhüttl's side have leaped into the top half of the table for the first time this term, four places below Saturday's opposition.

"We have used the time so far good, for recovering," the manager asserted. "Still a few guys who are a bit, yeah, not so fresh. This is normal on the second day after a tough game.

"We have another 24 hours or so, which is enough, so tomorrow we'll be in good shape and a good mindset also hopefully.

"We'll find the right balance of players, who fit the game plan. The goal should be to make it better than last time. It will be interesting to see how tough it is against them.

"You can see that this season, after a tough start, we're getting better and better. Meanwhile, it looks that we have found a way how we want to play and how to be successful."
