Ralph Hasenhüttl has confirmed that Ché Adams is back in contention for Southampton’s Premier League clash with Burnley on Saturday.

Adams has been missing from action after picking up an injury whilst on international break with Scotland.

James Ward-Prowse remains out due to suspension, while Jack Stephens is still a long-term absentee.

“There’s still Jack Stephens missing,” said the boss. “Ché Adams is back in training and is available for the weekend.

“There are no injuries there otherwise, so I can pick from a big squad.”

Adams’ return leaves Hasenhüttl with options up front after a standout performance from Armando Broja against Leeds.

“Because of the injury of Ché it was the first chance for him [Broja] to start and I think he grabbed the chance with both hands so let’s have a look what we do on the weekend.”
