Southampton Football Club was proud to present its latest Forever Saint award to the family of former club president John Corbett.

An incredible servant to the club, Corbett served on the board for six decades, helping sustain the club financially on more than one occasion and commanding an enormous level of respect throughout his influential tenure with the club.

He passed away in 1998, at the age of 92, but continues to be remembered at St Mary’s.

Daughters Mary and Sara were on hand during half-time of the game against Wolves to receive the award, which celebrates incredible contributions made to the club and community by ex-players, club servants and community champions.

Corbett becomes the third recipient, following on from Franny Benali and Glenn Cockerill, who were each given the honour at the fixtures against Manchester United and West Ham respectively.
