Southampton Football Club was pleased to present its latest Forever Saint award to former midfielder Glenn Cockerill.

The 62-year-old received the accolade in front of the St Mary’s crowd at half-time of the game against West Ham, becoming the second recipient, following on from Franny Benali.

Presented at home games throughout the 2021/22 season, the Forever Saint honour celebrates incredible contributions made to the club and community by ex-players, club servants and community champions.

Cockerill is part of a select club of players to have made more than 300 appearances for Southampton, reaching the mark of 358 across his nine years with the club, from 1985 to 1994, while scoring 39 times.
