Fresh off of his first senior goal on Sunday, Albania's Armando Broja helped his side to a 5-0 win over San Mario with a goal and two assists.

Despite only playing the second 45 minutes the Saints youngster had a significant impact on the Group I fixture at Arena Kombëtare.

After replacing Nedim Bajrami shortly after the interval with his side already a goal to the good, Broja grabbed his first assist of the evening just 12 minutes later; setting up AC Ajaccio's Qazim Laci just short of the hour.

A mere two minutes later and the young forward was on the scoresheet himself, latching onto Odise Roshi's pass before beating visiting keeper Elia Benedettini.

Broja's second assist of the night came with ten minutes to go, combining with Myrto Uzuni for the fifth and final goal.

The win puts the Albanian's up to second in the group, four points behind the England side Jan Bednarek's Poland faced on Wednesday night.

Whilst Broja enjoyed a comfortable night, it was a much more tense affair for Bednarek and Poland in Group I's other Wednesday night game.

With both sides caught in a stalemate for much of the game, Harry Kane's long-range rocket looked to have given Gareth Southgate's England the edge on 72 minutes.

But the Poles bounced back, grabbing a vital equaliser in the second minute of stoppage time thanks to AEK Athen's midfielder Damian Szymański.

The point puts Poland within sight of qualification, one behind Albania in second and a point ahead of Hungary in fourth with a total of eleven to their name.
