Southampton Football Club has confirmed the list of players who have been released this summer.

It was announced last month that long-term servant Ryan Bertrand would be amongst those leaving the club at the end of his current contract.

Having initially joined the club on loan from Chelsea in 2014, the full-back made his move permanent a year later before going on to notch 240 appearances for Saints, scoring eight times.

Bertrand was a key player during one of the most successful periods in the club's history, including a venture into Europe during the 2016/17 season.

Also leaving the club at the end of their contract is Josh Sims, who assisted the only goal of the game against Everton on his debut back in 2016. Sims went on to make a further 26 first-team appearances for the club, alongside multiple games with the club's Under-23s set-up.

Following Sims is Jake Hesketh, who joined the club at eight years old. The academy graduate represented the first-team on four occasions and scored his first senior goal in September 2016, during the League Cup win over Crystal Palace.

The full list is as follows:

Ryan Bertrand
Jake Hesketh
Josh Sims
David Agbontohoma
Lucas Defise
Pascal Kpohomouh
Kingsley Latham
Kameron Ledwidge
James Morris
Thomas O'Connor
Tommy Scott

Southampton Football Club would like to thank each and every one of the players for their hard work, dedication and commitment during their time at the club, and we wish them all the very best for the future.
