Southampton’s international representatives enjoyed a largely successful night across Europe, as they gear up for Euro 2020.

Stuart Armstrong played the full 90 minutes in Portugal, where a late equaliser from Memphis Depay meant Scotland had to settle for a 2-2 draw with the Netherlands.

Jack Hendry fired Scotland ahead after just 10 minutes, but it was Kevin Nisbet’s goal that really highlighted Armstrong’s attacking flair on the counterattack.

Ché Adams missed the clash with the Netherlands as a precaution after John Fleck tested positive for Covid-19.

Elsewhere in Europe, Jannik Vestergaard played the full 90 minutes as Denmark came from behind to clinch a 1-1 draw with Germany.

Vestergaard played a pivotal role for Denmark, denying the home side on multiple occasions throughout the course of the evening.

England claimed victory over Austria at the Riverside Stadium with Bukayo Saka’s goal the difference in Middlesbrough.

Despite missing out on a place in Gareth Southgate’s 26-man squad, James Ward-Prowse came on to feature for England upon the hour mark.
