Just four points separate Southampton and Crystal Palace in the table as the season draws to a close.

Southampton’s Premier League status could be confirmed tonight as 17th place Burnley travel to 18th place Fulham. Victory for Burnley will send Fulham down to the Championship along with West Brom and Sheffield United.

Regardless of the result at Craven Cottage this evening, Southampton will be keen to pick up all three points at St Mary’s to extend the gap and finish this turbulent season on a high.

Crystal Palace secured their Premier League status as they claimed victory over Sheffield United on the weekend.

Danny Ings could possibly see a return to first-team action at St Mary’s on Tuesday as he’s on his way back from a hamstring injury.

Takumi Minamino could also return to the side, after being unable to feature against his loan club Liverpool on Saturday.

Oriol Romeu, Ryan Bertrand and Will Smallbone all remain out of contention.

For Palace, defenders James Tomkins and Nathaniel Clyne are back fit and available for selection.

: "We have now three home games at St Mary’s and we want to take a few wins there. Tomorrow we have to start with the first against Palace and this is what we are focusing on. Everything else, it is not necessary to look at it. Do your job and you don’t have to look at others."

“The demands we make on a player to play Southampton two days after mathematically securing safety is the same as the first day of the season. Our demands are always high and I hope that the players share that, they’re proud, it’s not easy to become a Premiership player.

It’s been a season of constant development for Stuart Armstrong and he continues to impress in a Saints shirt.

Taking on the number six role alongside James Ward-Prowse in Saturday’s clash with Liverpool, Armstrong appeared to flourish in the centre of midfield and will undoubtedly impact Tuesday night’s game if he is to feature.

The 22-year-old has gone from strength-to-strength this season for Roy Hodgson, playing a pivotal role in their 2-0 victory over Sheffield United.

With four goals and five assists to his name so far this season, Eze will be a real attacking threat for Hasenhüttl’s men.
