Ralph Hasenhüttl is hoping to see an improvement from his side in their work with the ball when they face Leicester City on Friday night, less than two weeks on from their FA Cup semi-final disappointment against the Foxes.

The sides will meet at St Mary's in the Premier League, shortly after the clash at Wembley, which Leicester prevailed in after scoring with the only shot on target in the game.

Hasenhüttl expects that supporters watching at home will be treated to a more entertaining contest than what they witnessed in the cup match, but his main concern is his side coming out on the right side of the result this time.

"Maybe both teams will be less nervous and hopefully with the ball better, he said. "Especially our game I think was not the best with the ball.

"You need to have an overall good performance, but there's no reason why we shouldn't do it.

"We had a good first half against Tottenham, but one half is not enough, so we need to be in perfect shape and then we have always a chance to win.

"We had a little bit of a longer week, as we had no game at the weekend, so we could watch the other games, analyse our game and work on a few things. I think we had a good week. Still a few injuries, but finally, tomorrow, we are well prepared for a tough game."

Hasenhüttl added: "They are on a good run and it's not a coincidence they are part of the top four at the moment, but we saw that there is not so much missing in their game.

"In the cup game for us they didn't have a lot of chances – yes, they had a few ones, you can never stop them in 90 minutes from attacking your goal, they are too strong for this, but finally we know we have to defend quite well with the ball and have also good solutions and this is the goal for the weekend."
