Takumi Minamino's 13th minute strike set Japan on their way to a huge 14-0 win over Mongolia on Tuesday.

Minamino scored the opening goal as Japan recorded a dominant win away from home to cement their position at the top of Group F in World Cup qualifying.

The visitors then went on to score four more before the break, as Yuya Osako, Daichi Kamada, Hidemasa Morita and a Khash-Erdene Tuyaa own goal heaped the misery onto Mongolia.

Things didn't get any better for the hosts following the break with a further ten strikes coming from Japan, who now hold a positive 27 goal difference in the group.

Minamino was replaced on 71 minutes on what was a successful early afternoon to say the least for his country.
