Southampton Football Club can confirm that Radhi Jaïdi has departed the club following his secondment with Hartford Athletic and has now joined Belgian side Cercle Brugge as assistant coach.

Jaidi joined USL Championship side Hartford Athletic in November 2019, as part of an emerging partnership between the Connecticut-based outfit and the Southampton Academy.

Following a successful season in the United States, where he led Hartford to the play-offs for the first time in their history, Jaïdi has now moved onto a new opportunity in Belgium, with his time at St Mary’s now formally at a close.

He departs after more than ten years with the club as player and then coach, with Jaïdi notably taking charge of the Under-23s for a number of seasons, overseeing promotion into Division One of Premier League 2 in 2019, as well as progression to the semi-finals of the Premier League International Cup.

He was previously part of the coaching staff when Saints won the Under-21 Premier League Cup in 2015, while also helping a number of young players develop through the Academy and into the first-team.

Everyone at the club would like to extend their gratitude to Radhi for his years of service at Southampton and we wish him every success in his the future.
