Ralph Hasenhüttl is grateful for an extra day of preparation with his players ahead of the first match of the upcoming double-header against Wolves.

It is once again two games in a week for Saints, both against the same opponent this time, as they head to Molineux for an Emirates FA Cup fifth-round tie on Thursday, before returning to St Mary's on Sunday for a Premier League fixture.

While the schedule remains packed, playing slightly later in the week has at least offered a rare chance for some extra time to properly work with his squad on the training pitch.

"I am happy I have one session [on Tuesday] that I can use a little bit for working on a few things," he said.

"It was a long time ago that we had a normal session with all the group, and I think it was helpful and hopefully we make a good game.

"It's a cup game and we have to prepare to fight for maybe 120 minutes plus maybe penalties, so it is everything focused on being really sharp.

"It's a long way to come to the final, but we have a chance to do it. We know it is a strong opponent, but on a good day I think we have shown in the past that we can win against everybody.

"Like in every game, it's a 50-50 chance, and this is what we have to grab with both hands, the chance to come in the next round, to still be in the draw and this would be fantastic."
