Young Southampton forward Tyreke Johnson has joined League One outfit Gillingham on loan for the remainder of the 2020/21 season.

The 22-year-old spent the majority of last season stateside at Hartford Athletic, based in Connecticut, under the stewardship of former Under-23s coach Radhi Jaïdi.

Having returned to Staplewood in the summer, Johnson will now see out this term as part of Steve Evans's side at Priestfield Stadium, where previous Academy graduates Alfie Jones and Tom O'Connor have also enjoyed success in recent seasons.

The club would like to wish Tyreke well for the coming months, and looks forward to monitoring his progress.
