Saints will be looking to carry their momentum gained from a dramatic win at Portman Road last week, as they return to the south coast for the penultimate home game of the 2025/26 season.

In front of a 9,000-strong crowd against Ipswich Town last week, a Rachel Brown goal in the 97th minute earned three points to seal a memorable away trip for the team and supporters alike.

The result sees Saints on 28 points and in sixth place in the league and, whilst the promotion play-off spot is now firmly out of their hands, a joint highest league finish could still be achievable come the end of the season.

Sheffield United, after a difficult start to the season, have seen a recent improvement in form that had all-but guaranteed their survival in the second tier for another season.

Their 2-1 win over Portsmouth at Bramall Lane last week moved them up to ninth in the table with a four-point cushion above the relagation zone.

An impressive strike from Joy Ralph and an own goal sealed the win, as the Blades have lost just one of their last five league matches,

PREVIOUS MEETING

Earlier this season, Saints scored a goal in each half to earn a 2-0 win on the road against the Blades.

Continuing their set-piece threats, Jess Simpson and Amy Goddard were on target to seal a well-earned three points back in December.

MANAGER PREVIEW

Speaking ahead of Friday's action, Head Coach Simon Parker called on the home support to help carry his side's positive momentum into the final few games of the season.

"The fans' support is massive, we're at the Silverlake for this game so it's not St Mary's but it's still important to get the fans there - at that smaller ground the atmosphere can feel like more.

"Hopefully we can get people down on Good Friday and show the fans, to make them want to come back, a good performance for them and keep that positivity going for the rest of the season."
