Southampton FC Women handed out their end of season awards following the conclusion of the 2025/26 campaign.

After a year of progress in the Barclays Women's Super League 2 came to a close, which culminated in a fifth-placed finish with a club-record goals scored and goal difference in the second tier, Saints' Women's First Team carried out their post-season presentation.

Three internal awards were handed out, with recognition also given to members of the backroom staff and intern team who assisted the side during the season.

On the pitch, the three awards handed out were for the Players' Player of the Season, Coaches' Player of the Season, and the Outstanding Moment of the Season award.

It was a double swoop for joint-top goalscorer Mary Bashford -Saints' outright top scorer in the WSL2 - who was awarded the Players' Player and Coaches' Player award after a standout debut season.

The hard-working, 21-year-old midfielder forged a consistent habit of arriving at the right place at the right time for her eight league goals, as well as firing in an impressive finish in the Adobe Women's FA Cup.

On her award from the coaching staff, Head Coach Simon Parker added: "Of course Mary's goals have been a highlight this season, but her workrate has also been second-to-none. She's adapted her game and is a player that always puts the team first with her energy day in, day out.

"Mary is an infectious character in the group and is really valued by her teammates both on and off the pitch, so for her to win these two awards is a testament to the season she's had and the impact she's made around the place."

Elsewhere, the Outstanding Moment of the Season award was presented to Rachel Brown, for her dramatic stoppage time winner against Ipswich Town in Saints' 2-1 victory at Portman Road.

The full-back, who battled all year to return from an ACL injury, popped up to snatch a late winner in just her fourth game back on the field to spark ecstatic scenes of celebration on the sidelines.

With the season now complete and internal awards handed out, some supporter-voted awards will follow in due course before we then confirm our 2025/26 retained list.
