Stenson shortlisted for Save of the Season
Southampton FC Women's goalkeeper Fran Stenson has been nominated for the Barclays Women's Super League 2 Save of the Season.
Saints' shot-stopper won the March Save of the Month award with her impressive injury time save against Durham.
In a clean sheet against Durham - her sixth of the season - she made an important stretching stop in the final minutes, when she backpedaled to tip the ball over the crossbar under advancing pressure from Lucy Watson's dangerous wide free-kick.
Fran's nomination is down to a public vote, as the rest of the shortlist consists of Natalia Negri (Ipswich Town, x2 nominations), Shae Yañez (Crystal Palace), Sophie Whitehouse (Charlton, x3 nominations), and Cat Sheppard (Durham).
Voting will be open until 10am on Wednesday 13th May, with the winner unveiled at the WSL Football Awards on the evening of Monday 18th May.
