The Football Rebooted campaign encourages people to donate their pre-played football boots, which are then re-homed via ‘claim stations’ in parks, training grounds, and some of the country’s most prominent football clubs.

As football’s most ambitious environmental campaign ‘Football Rebooted’ intends to re-home at least one million pairs of quality football boots – an initiative that reduces environmental impact while promoting accessibility to the sport by supporting families that cannot afford new boots.

With Southampton FC players including Kyle Walker-Peters, Dynel Simeu, Shelly Provan, and Laura Rafferty all donating boots to the cause, the initiative provides an exciting opportunity for anyone to strike it lucky with boots from a football protégé.

For secondary school student, Oliver Lloyd-Smith, it’s already created a fantastic opportunity to follow his dreams of playing professionally. Oliver said: “Football Rebooted has been a great help to me since football boots are expensive. Thanks to Football Rebooted, I got a pair of boots with lots of life left in them with the extra benefit of helping to save the environment. When I got them, I was very excited to try them out and start playing in them.”
