Nathan Redmond hailed the “fantastic” support of the Southampton fans this season following the team’s final home game of the campaign on Tuesday night.

The Saints squad and their families completed a lap of appreciation following the Premier League clash against Liverpool, with Redmond further showing his gratitude when speaking after the match.

“They’ve been fantastic,” he said. “The fans and the families have both been fantastic.

“The fans endure a lot from us with the highs and the lows and the families as well, when we’re not happy and not winning games, they endure a lot when we don’t have many days off, they endure a lot with their time.

“Everyone who stayed behind today and has supported us through the course of the season, from me, and I speak on behalf of the boys, I want to say a massive thank you to you all and we’ll try to be better next season.”
