Southampton Football Club is delighted to announce that Under-21s striker Princewill Ehibhatiomhan has extended his contract with the club.

The 20-year-old forward has had an additional year triggered on the contract he signed last summer, which will now keep him at the club until 2027.

After starting the season on loan at Swindon Town, where he scored three goals, Ehibhatiomhan is currently at fellow League Two play-off pushers Salford for the remainder of the campaign.

Director of Group Talent Strategy, Andy Goldie, explained: “This has been a challenging yet vitally important season in Princewill’s development. Extending his contract for another season provides him with a platform to build on and utilise the experiences he has gained at both Swindon Town and Salford City.

"In the short term, he has to continue to fight to earn more minutes and contribute to what will hopefully be a successful season for him and Salford, and we look forward to welcoming him back to Staplewood at the end of the season.”

The club wishes Princewill the best for the remainder of the season and will continue to monitor his progress.
