New Saints Foundation projects designed and delivered by you, our fans
We’re pleased to be using the Premier League Fans Fund to deliver two new projects, designed in consultation with the Southampton FC Fan Advisory Board.
We’ve engaged with our fans to develop two new projects that meet the needs of their city and their communities – projects that will help change lives and will hopefully grow the Saints fanbase of the future.
The new projects – both of which aim to open up opportunities for local young people from under-represented backgrounds – began work in January 2024. The fans who helped create them are also assisting our team with session delivery.
On Target is an exciting new strand of our Saints Works employability programme. It targets 16 to 19 year olds from the local area and supports them with getting into local jobs. Using our links with the club, we’re hopeful that many participants will access opportunities here at St Mary’s Stadium, with roles in stewarding, hospitality and more.
Furthering our gender equality work, Saints Aspire has a similar local focus, working with girls aged 11 to 16. Groups meet monthly at St Mary’s Stadium for workshops and activities designed to boost their confidence and unlock leadership qualities.
It’s hoped that by targeting young people and giving them opportunities connected to the football club, both projects will add to the next generation of Saints fans.

“Consulting our fans on where they think we can support Southampton has resulted in the creation of two unique programmes that truly appreciate local need. Having their support with the delivery of this work means we have local people supporting local people, all to make their city a better place.
