WHAT’S AT STAKE?
It's back to the bread and butter of the league campaign for Saints after Saturday's FA Cup heroics, as St Mary's witnessed a famous night as Premier League leaders Arsenal were defeated in the quarter-finals.
Tonda Eckert was quick to point out that his players must move on sharply from the elation of reaching Wembley, with Tuesday's trip to Wrexham looking like it has the potential to be very significant in the Championship play-off race.
The hosts leapfrogged Saints with a 2-2 draw at West Brom on Good Friday to climb back into the top six. The teams are separated by just a single point, although Saints do have a game in hand on their rivals.
Whilst Saints will be looking to extend their unbeaten run that now stands at 15 games in all competitions, Wrexham's recent form has been rather more patchy, winning just two of their last six.
TEAM NEWS
Wrexham: Wales international striker Kieffer Moore returned to action on Friday, coming off the bench in the second half against West Bom.
Manager Phil Parkinson said Matty James and Ben Sheaf "are making really good progress" with both having been sidelined through injury since February.
Saints: Tonda Eckert can welcome back Flynn Downes and Kuryu Matsuki from suspension after the pair were forced to miss out Saturday's memorable FA Cup quarter-final triumph over Arsenal.
Captain Jack Stephens will be assessed after missing the cup win with an ankle injury picked up in training.
THE MANAGERS
Phil Parkinson: “Football is about making the most of every season. I always feel every season is special and we've got an opportunity to finish it well and we're going to do everything we can.
“When you get into this position, it's important, like we've done in previous years, that we produce good performances and that's obviously the intention. We've got 11 players against us who are trying to stop us, but we've got to enjoy it, and we will.”
Tonda Eckert: "I think internally what we have done quite well in the last weeks is that we prep for the games, we make sure we are all in for the 90 minutes that come up, and then close the book very quickly.
"You can reflect and try to do lots of debriefs on the last game, but I think once the game is played, it's done. With the amount of games coming up, I feel it's important that we close the games as quick as possible and then move on to the next one. That's how we've been working over the last weeks, and I think that's the way to continue."
ONES TO WATCH
Josh Windass: Scoring in each of Wrexham's last two matches, Windass will be feeling confident after taking his tally to 12 goals for the season.
Operating as one of two No 10s behind a central striker, the former Sheffield Wednesday man is a creative spark and set-piece threat who specialises in long-range shooting.
Tom Fellows: The winger made his first league start in six games against Oxford in Saints' last Championship outing, providing the assist for Cyle Larin's early opener.
Fellows terrorised Arsenal at times in Saturday's quarter-final, setting up Shea Charles for the winner. It's surely only a matter of time until he finally breaks his duck and scores his first goal since his summer arrival from West Brom.
