Saints to face Manchester City in the FA Cup semi-final
Southampton will face Premier League outfit Manchester City in the Emirates FA Cup semi-final at Wembley Stadium later this month.
Tonda Eckert's side claimed a spot in the last four by stunning Premier League leaders Arsenal at St Mary's, with Shea Charles the late hero after Ross Stewart initially gave the hosts a first half lead.
Saints will head to the capital for their first semi-final in the competition since 2020/21, where they lost out 1-0 to Leicester.
Manchester City earned their place in the semi-finals with a dominant 4-0 win over fellow Premier League side Liverpool at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday. Prior to that, victories against Exeter, Salford, and Newcastle saw City reach the final four of the competition.
The two ties will be played on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th April, with confirmation of date, kick-off time and ticket information to follow in due course.
Saints' trip to the national stadium also means the Sky Bet Championship match against Blackburn Rovers at St Mary's has been brought forward, moving from Saturday 25th April to Tuesday 14th April at 8pm BST. Supporters who have already purchased tickets for this game who cannot attend the rearranged match should contact the ticket office in writing by 5pm BST on Wednesday 8th April.
