WHAT’S AT STAKE?
Saturday's victory over Watford at St Mary's extended Saints' unbeaten run to four games, moving Tonda Eckert's side to within four points of the play-off spots in the Sky Bet Championship.
Five unbeaten could see them rise to as high as eighth, but they come up against a hurting Leicester side who have suffered both on and off the field in recent weeks.
Without a league win since the start of January, the Foxes were dealt a six point deduction last week. Interim manager Andy King will be wanting to continue their recent good form against Saints and lift their supporters at the King Power.
TEAM NEWS
Leicester: A familiar face in Joe Aribo won't be available for Tuesday night having joined for Saints on loan last month.
He joined fellow new signing Jamaal Lascelles in the starting line-up on Saturday for the defeat at Birmingham.
Saints: Flynn Downes was replaced on 38 minutes of the win over Watford on Saturday, but Eckert reveals it shouldn't keep the midfielder out for an extended period.
"He got a little knock right underneath the knee, from what I've heard, it doesn't look too bad in the first place. Let's hope it's just a contact injury, but it's very painful.
Then we'll assess for the next days. We'll see how he is for Tuesday, but I wouldn't rule him out."
THE MANAGERS
Andy King: "I thought the new players who came in did really well. We needed a few extra bodies after Charlton. We were very young out there and you saw the lads who came in today had a positive impact on the group. I’m sure they will have that moving forward and will push the players already here to raise their level as well and we can all move forward as a club.
"I’ve spoken for many years about how good these supporters are with me, with the team, with everyone. That won’t change and we need them more than ever in this period, but they were outstanding, their support for me has been outstanding and I’m really grateful for that.”
Tonda Eckert: “I think you need to look at every game very individually and see what the best chances there are to win a game of football. That might be different on Tuesday, let’s see, but for the moment I think it’s nice that we’ve found a certain solidity in the way we approach games and the way we defend. Sometimes one goal is enough to win a game of football.
“For us it’s important that we have a good recovery for two days now. Leicester is going to be a completely different game to the one we played today, and we need to make sure that we take something home with us. I think they are among the teams with the biggest quality on the pitch.”
ONES TO WATCH
Abdul Fatawu: Despite Leicester tricky run of results, the winger has been in goalscoring form of late. The Ghanaian has five goal involvements (four goals, one assist) in the last 11 outings, including last time out at Birmingham City.
Cyle Larin: It took Saints' new number nine just three minutes to score with his first touch for the club. Now the Canadian will be hoping this is just the start, with two tests against the Foxes this week providing his first opportunity to do so.
