Chelsea sit third in the Premier League but have suffered two 1-0 defeats in the last week.

After an otherwise positive start to their 2021/22 campaign, the blues will be looking to return to winning ways in front of a home crowd on Saturday.

Saints fell to a frustrating 1-0 defeat to Wolves on Sunday and Ralph Hasenhüttl will be looking to finish on a positive as we head into the international break.

Hasenhüttl is yet to lose at Stamford bridge, having drawn twice and won once in West London.

Despite being called up to the England squad, Reece James remains a doubt for Saturday’s clash while N’Golo Kante tested positive for Covid-19 this week and is also unable to feature.

Mason Mount picked up an injury in Chelsea’s Carabao Cup tie with Aston Villa but it looks as though he’s back in contention for Saturday’s meeting.

For Saints, Jack Stephens is the only injury concern as Stuart Armstrong has returned to first team training.

Loanee Armando Broja will also be unable to feature against his parent club.

THE MANAGERS

Thomas Tuchel: "The teams he [Hasenhüttl] trains have always the same philosophy - high intensity and ball recoveries. They have a fast team and an aggressive team. We are expcting a good coach and a good team."

Ralph Hasenhüttl: "We will go there, like every year, and will respect them but we also will believe in what we are doing. This is how we will create another positive result in this stadium."

ONES TO WATCH

Trevoh Chalobah: Scoring on his Premier League debut for Chelsea against Crystal Palace, the academy graduate has had an unforgettable start to the season.

Tino Livramento: Signing from Chelsea this summer, the 18-year-old has received a huge amount of praise since joining Saints.

In a match where Saints will need to put on a crucial defensive performance, Livramento’s flair on the wing could prove vital on his return to Stamford Bridge.
