Another week of action has passed in league and cup competitions for Southampton’s loanees, as four of Saints’ youngsters had success in the FA Cup with their loan sides.

Ollie Wright made his 12th consecutive appearance for Bath City as they held on to knock out National League South rivals Weymouth and reach the Fourth Round Qualifying.

Wright made an important save as the Romans survived a late scare to win 2-1, leaving them just one win away from potentially facing EFL clubs if they can reach the First Round for the first time in a decade.

Midfielder Josh Squires was a stoppage-time substitute for Salisbury FC in their goalless draw with National League South side Slough Town, as The Whites earned themselves a replay and almost found a late winner but for the offside flag.

Elsewhere, Matt Carson’s Braintree Town side knocked out Brackley Town in a dramatic 3-2 victory - the Northern Irishman was an unused sub after playing three full matches over the last week with his short-term loan deal extended for a further month.

Luke Pearce ended his brief time on loan at Torquay United watching from the bench as the Gulls breezed past Hungerford Town 5-0; Pearce made four appearances for Torquay over his month-long spell.

In League One, Dom Ballard was a second half substitute for Reading in their 0-0 draw against Burton Albion, playing the final 18 minutes at the Select Car Leasing Stadium.

Up in Scotland, Thierry Small was also utilised as a second-half sub for St Mirren in their 1-1 draw away to Kilmarnock.

The full-back played over half an hour as the Scottish Saints remain second in the division.

In the Eredivisie, PSV have made a perfect start to the league campaign with seven wins from seven games and Armel Bella-Kotchap played 86 minutes in their 3-1 win over FC Volendam, helping to secure their latest victory.

Paul Onuachu continued his scoring streak with Trabzonspor as the Nigerian found the back of the net for the third time in his third appearance for the Süper Lig side during their 2-1 win over Pendikspor.

Finally, Lyanco featured for Qatari side Al-Gharafa in their defeat against Al-Sadd but was shown a red card in the last minute on an evening to forget for The Cheetahs.
