Southampton FC Women's Jess Simpson has been shortlisted for the PFA Fans' Barclays Women's Super League 2 April Player of the Month.

In the final month of the season, Saints' flying loanee left-back ended her campaign with another strong performance as she scored in the final home game of the season - a 2-2 draw against promotion battlers Charlton.

Simpson arrived at the perfect time to power home a confident finish and open the scoring at the Silverlake Stadium, sealing her seventh goal of the season.

It marked the end of an unbeaten April, with the point also being Saints' fourth game of an eventual five-match unbeaten streak to end the 2025/26 season.

This is Jess’ second monthly nomination for April, after she was shortlisted for the WSL2 award as well, and her fourth nomination in a standout season that included shortlists for the WSL2 October award and the January PFA award.

Voting is open now for supporters, with the rest of the April shortlist consisting of Amy Andrews (Sheffield Utd), Beth Hepple (Durham), Jordan Nobbs (Newcastle), Ashleigh Weerden (Palace), and Kenzie Weir (Ipswich).
