Goalkeeper Jones signs short-term contract
We have completed the signing of goalkeeper Jamie Jones on a contract until the end of the season.
The experienced shot-stopper has amassed more than 350 appearances in the Football League, including 36 at Championship level.
The 36-year-old’s former clubs include Leyton Orient, Wigan Athletic and Preston North End.
With Alex McCarthy undergoing surgery on a wrist injury, Jones will provide backup to Daniel Peretz and George Long, restoring the numbers in Saints’ goalkeeping ranks in McCarthy’s absence.
