McCarthy to undergo surgery
Southampton goalkeeper Alex McCarthy is set for surgery on a wrist injury that will rule him out for "a couple of weeks".
The 36-year-old, who has made 10 appearances this season, is set to undergo surgery in the coming days.
McCarthy was replaced in the matchday squad by George Long for Tuesday night's thrilling comeback win at Leicester.
Speaking after the game, head coach Tonda Eckert said: "He (McCarthy) has a planned surgery. It was planned for yesterday (Monday) but got postponed, so he will be having the surgery tomorrow (Wednesday) on his wrist. He will be out for a couple of weeks."
