Fraser set for a month out
Ryan Fraser is set for a spell on the sideline having limped out of Saints' loss to Milwall at the weekend.
The winger had to be replaced after just 19 minutes against the Lions following a heavy challenge, with Russell Martin revealing how long Fraser will be absent.
"He's going to be out for a little bit of time, unfortunately. Bit of a blow for us, big blow for him, but we’ll have him back probably the other side of the international break. Very, very soon after that, hopefully, all being well.
"I don't think he's got any desire to go there [Newcastle] and get treatment, he wants to be a part of it here and be a part of the dressing room. He’s a really big character in the dressing room, so we lose something when he doesn’t play which is his relentless running ability, his ability to cross on the move, his desire to go and score and assist and work hard for the team and the others need to step up now."
