Edozie strikes for Young Lions

Sam Edozie joined England's Young Lions in Spain as they claimed a 3-0 victory over Australia, with the 19-year-old netting the third goal at Pinatar Arena.

Edozie nearly played a part in the opening goal in the friendly with Australia, as he was brought down inside the area at 20 minutes, but Aaron Ramsey was unable to convert from the penalty spot.

Edozie soon had an opportunity of his own, shortly after the break a stunning run down the right saw Edozie in on goal, with the 19-year-old finding the back of the net through a left-footed shot.

Gavin Bazunu featured between the sticks in their Nations League Group E clash with Armenia.

With former Saint Michael Obafemi scoring the second goal at Aviva Stadium, it looked as though Ireland were set to secure three points but two goals in quick succession from Armenia saw the scores tied. A 91st minute penalty ensured Stephen Kenny’s side walked away with all three points.

Juan Larios also featured in Spain's Under-19s European Under-19 Championship qualifying clash with Belgium at B-Veld Racing Genk. Having played two matches so far, Spain now sit top of Group G on goal difference over Belgium on four points.

Mohammed Salisu played the full 90 minutes for Ghana, as they secured a 1-0 victory over Nicaragua in their international friendly.
