Saints will be wearing their white home kit on their trip to Merseyside.

A huge game at the bottom of the Premier league table as Saints travel to Frank Lampard’s Everton on Saturday.

Southampton sit bottom of the current standings, with Everton just three points above them in 18th place.

With pressure mounting on Frank Lampard, three points at Goodison Park could lift the hosts out of the drop and end their eight-game winless run.

It’s been a hugely successful week for Saints in cup competition, with victory over Crystal Palace in the third round of the FA Cup swiftly followed by an emphatic victory over Manchester City in the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup in midweek.

Sékou Mara opened his Saints account at St Mary’s before a wonderstrike from Moussa Djenepo secured their place in the Carabao Cup semi-finals.

Nathan Jones will be hoping his side can turn their cup form into points in the league as they face a huge test on Merseyside.

After being stretchered off in their Emirates FA Cup clash with Manchester United last weekend, Alex Iwobi adds to Everton’s ever-growing injury list.

The Nigerian joins Michael Keane, Andros Townsend, Nathan Patterson and James Garner on the sidelines.

While Theo Walcott and Alex McCarthy near a return, Tino Livramento, Armel Bella-Kotchap, Stuart Armstrong and Juan Larios remain out for Saints.

After making his Saints debut from off the bench in midweek, Mislav Oršić could make his first Premier League appearance against Everton while Nathan Jones hopes Saints’ latest acquisition Charly Alcaraz will be available for Saturday's tie.

"It's a big game, you're against a competitor. We seen their performance in the week, it was great. You need to be to beat Manchester City so they've had two positive results, we have to respect that. They have a manager who has come in with a lot of energy, I know how he is, we have to respect that and go into the game."

“We'll be as positive as we possibly can to try and win a football game. We know it's a difficult game away at Everton. Yes, they're in a difficult situation as well. We’ve just got to focus on ourselves and that's all I can do.”

One of the bright sparks in an otherwise disappointing season for Everton, the 26-year-old leads the way for most goals scored for Lampard’s men this season, most notably a New Year’s Eve equaliser against Manchester City to earn a valuable point for his side.

Opening his account for Saints in style against Manchester City in midweek, the Frenchman is becoming a growing presence in this Saints side under Nathan Jones.
