New date for Lincoln cup tie
The Carabao Cup fourth-round tie between Southampton and Lincoln City at St Mary’s will now take place on Tuesday 20th December (7.45pm GMT), 24 hours earlier than originally scheduled.
The club has taken the difficult decision to bring the fixture forward due to planned strike action by crucial medical services on Wednesday 21st December.
A number of solutions were carefully considered, but it was decided that this was the only suitable outcome to maintain the level of safety required for the match to take place.
For supporters who have already purchased, all tickets for the game remain valid and will grant access to the stadium on matchday despite having the original date on them.
