Southampton FC Women’s Megan Wynne came on for Wales as they secured their place in the Women’s World Cup play-off final on Thursday night.

Taking on Bosnia and Herzegovina, Wales Women left it late to secure their place in the next round of play-offs, with the game heading into extra time tied at 0-0, despite having four goals ruled out in regular time.

Jess Fishlock gave Wales the lead in injury time of the first half of extra time, latching onto a free kick and dinking over the goalkeeper first time.

Saints’ Megan Wynne entered the fray in the final minutes of the game, providing fresh legs in what was a tense encounter.

Gemma Grainger’s side will now take on Switzerland in Zurich on Tuesday 11th October, continuing to make history, as the side have never reached the play-off stages of a major tournament.
