Dan Nlundulu found himself on the scoresheet as Cheltenham claimed a 2-2 draw on the road at Port Vale. This and more in this week’s Loan Watch …

Nlundulu opened the scoring at Vale Park, before two goals in quick succession saw Port Vale with the lead at the break.

It took until the 92nd minute for Cheltenham to find the equaliser, with Charlie Brown’s goal ensuring the spoils were shared in the League One battle.

While Thierry Small didn’t feature in Port Vale’s league clash, he did come off the bench in their Football League Trophy win over Stockport in midweek.

Kegs Chauke also featured in Football League Trophy action in midweek, notching his first goal for Exeter City in their clash with Newport County.

Despite opening the scoring at St James’ Park, it was County who claimed victory to counteract Chauke’s opener.

Elsewhere in League One, Caleb Watts made his first league start for Morecambe in their 2-2 draw with Bristol Rovers.

Watts played a vital role in the tie, providing the assist for Kieran James Phillips’ goal at the Memorial Stadium.

It was a successful week for the 20-year-old, who also found himself on the scoresheet in their Football League Trophy win over Everton’s Under-21s.

Not only did Watts score in normal time at the Globe Arena with the result finishing 3-3 at 90 minutes, he took the first penalty for Morecambe as they emerged 7-6 victors.

In League Two, Dynel Simeu made his debut for Tranmere Rovers, coming off the bench in their 2-0 defeat at Leyton Orient.

In the Championship, Nathan Tella retained his place in the starting XI against both Millwall and West Brom, celebrating a 2-0 victory and a 1-1 draw respectively.

With Arijanet Muric launching the ball from one end of the pitch to the other, Tella looked certain to score for Burnley, before David Button’s late challenge on the Saints loanee awarded Vincent Kompany’s side the penalty.

With former Saint Jay Rodriguez converting from the spot, Burnley looked set for all three points before a dramatic 98th minute goal saw the points shared.

Will Smallbone was also in Championship action, coming off the bench in Stoke City’s 1-1 draw with Swansea in midweek before starting in their 2-1 defeat to Reading at the weekend.

Across the border, Kazeem Olaigbe made two substitute appearances in Ross County’s 4-1 defeat to Celtic in the Scottish League Cup as well as their 1-1 draw with Aberdeen in the Scottish Premiership.

Another start and clean sheet for Jack Bycroft at Taunton Town, as they secured three points on the road at Hungerford Town.

Elsewhere in the league, Will Tizzard made his debut for Chippenham Town in their 2-1 victory over Dartford.

Harvey Woods also made his first team debut for Poole Town, coming on as a substitute in the 69th minute in their FA Cup First Qualifying Round loss to Salisbury.
