Lyanco only fresh injury concern
Ralph Hasenhüttl has confirmed Lyanco is the only fresh injury concern heading into Southampton’s first home fixture of the 2022/23 Premier League season.
Saints host Leeds at St Mary’s on Saturday, with Lyanco the only player to join long-term absentee Tino Livramento on the sidelines.
“We only had Lyanco during the week not training with the team because he had a problem with his knee,” admitted the boss.
With fixtures certain to ramp up in the coming weeks, a variety of training sessions have been taking place at Staplewood in preparation.
“The rest of the players were in the sessions. We had two good ones on Tuesday and Wednesday, today was a little bit lighter, after two days we tried to give it a little less intensity today.”
